Things

Woo bought these $3 sweat short things and $12 v-neck today from deelux. Both american apparel!

Gorgeous day at UCI center with melissa and kim :D

Scrumptious and hilarious dinner with ryan/paul/meld/eri. We played this game called "things" and it was so flippin' funny!!!!! It's like apples to apples except you get to write down your own "things" on a piece of paper and then figure out who said what! They kept on making references to peoples vaginas (it was funny.. sounds silly while i type it though..) and I kept on using poop.

Made another card! If music fails, and shoes fail, then I will resort to a career in card-making.

Good day!

What a

Fun-blasted day!

I woke up.
I deposited the money my mom gave me for graduation, bought chapstick at Target because I lost mine :(, and got gas (it was customer appreciation day, so the guy cleaned my front window for me!).

Afterwards, I had a WONDERFUL adventure with Leah and Melissa!
Soggy ice cream cones. Burning rays. Heavy Sand. Our one-second, finger-grazing encounter with the ocean. Shake shack was the bomb.
I hope Vinh's jacket fits him/I hope he likes it. Good deal ! 20 buckaroos!
and Leah, I hope you enjoy the bag!!!!
Then, I didn't want the adventure to end so I drove us to JCC point! There was a simply wonderful breeze sweeping through and we took epic "mother f***er" pictures!

Then, I ate dinner with my uncle because my mom was out with her clients. He has to think of three movie outlines for class tomorrow. For the class project, he's thinking of filming a guy standing at the top of the bridge connecting the marketplace with UCI. He'd be contemplating how to commit suicide. But, then, he'd randomly meet a total stranger that makes him forget about his original thoughts. Life altering encounter with just one stranger.

At night, we watched 28 Days Later. I'm sorry that the movie was horribly disappointing. I'm sorry I can't stand scary movies and ruined your fun ! :(

I'm sad you guys are all leaving somewhere during the course of this week :(. I'll miss you.

Bogo

Woke up.
Work from 12-6.
Busy the whole entire time. But at least the time went by faster.
Came home and just finished making Cory's card for his birthday party tonight.
I shall have dinner by myself downstairs.
Then, I will go to Cory's party at 10.
Jamba things all day, basically.

I don't know if I like that.

Why do I always have to be the person who initiates everything?
I always wonder how lonely tomorrow will be.

Refreshing

Woke up with a sore arm from playing guitar with Hennah last night.
I practiced this morning :). I hope I will be a good guitar player by the end of summer.
I ran today for the first time in several, several months.
And it felt so good! I wasn't tired at all! So awesome! I hope I don't wake up sore...
I ran 2 miles and walked 1.5 miles.
All with Super Mash Bros. They kept me going.
Then, as a reward to myself, I went shopping at Urban and got new shoes? (waiting on Leah's feedback) and a new guys' shirt! :D I saw Diana there and she helped me save 30 bucks by convincing me not to buy a dress.
And then, I hung out with Rylee! Patrick! and Michael! Liu!
Just wonderful! We went to H-mart and Blockbusters, made chocolate covered strawberries, and watched Taken, which was surprisingly funny. At 12:50 AM, I felt like my mom would want them to go home, so I asked them, too. Haha sorry.. wish you guys could have stayed longer.

Anyways, good day! :D

I see.

Well, that wasn't a productive talk.
So much for telling you.
Didn't solve anything.
I don't know if I even intended it to solve anything.
We all go our separate ways.
I must keep that in mind.
We've always been different.
But, why must that make things so difficult now?

You still .. don't really care.
I can tell.
And.. I guess that's okay. I feel like that's just how you are about these things.

I think I'm just overly sensitive. So, sorry I even brought it up.

I'm going to miss you very much.

I'M GRADUATING TOMORROW.

I was at school on Monday and while I was sitting outside Linny's room with Rylee and Stephanie, I started crying. I know I've been saying how I excited I am to leave high school, but I'm so sad. I was saying goodbye to Mrs. Jelnick and I couldn't even get anything out because I was trying to not cry. Switching into AP English was one of the best decisions I've made this year. I thanked her for allowing me into her class because I learned so much. I'm sad I won't be able to see Linny whenever I want to. She's going to probably only teach 4 periods next year; so, she won't be around during 5th/6th. I want to be there to hear about her baby everyday. I want to watch The Office some more. She's one of my closest friends.

And then, I went back inside to Linny's room to retrieve my yearbook. And I looked at her. And I started crying. It's so stupid because I'm going to be literally less than half a mile away. But.. it won't be the same.

I'm having separation anxiety.

Hello. Goodbye.

Favorites of the day:

What a wonderful day.

I was talking to Allison about ending high school today.
We both are sad because it's taken us four years to build our lives here and it's gotten so good.. but now we just have to end it all and leave. To rebuild new reputations, new friends, everything. It's nice to have a fresh start and get to meet new people.. but I'm sad. I've worked so hard to get to where I am today and now it's done. I won't get to hang out with Linny all the time or see Ted + Carlie + Udyam grow up.
I'm not just going to miss high school.. I'm going to miss UNI.

UNI.

I started this blog to track myself during senior year.
I've gone through so many ups and downs.
It's interesting. Even though my blogs are usually only a couple words long, I still can remember how I felt while I wrote each word.

So. now, after senior year. This is what I've come to:

Thank you, UNI, for four wonderful years. I started out freshman year too scared of the high school workload and unwilling to get too involved. However, after seeing how fun leadership+council+ASB was, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. So, sophomore year, I decided to run for elected council. Best decision of my life. I realized that by stepping out of my comfort zone, I learned more about myself that I didn't even know I had in me. The friends I gained, the starchy ugly hands I had from work days, the annoying chicken wire cuts.. .all of it was worth it. I felt like I belonged at UNI. And thats what I wanted: to not be just another student at UNI, a bystander. I wanted to be my own person. I wanted to grow.
Junior year was so. much. fun. I felt so close to all my friends. We went out afterschool every day to have lunch at some random place or simply hang out at christine's house. We hung out everyday. We drove around, listened to music with the windows down. As Charlie says in Perks of Being a Wallflower, he felt "infinite." I did, too.

And then senior year. It didn't start out that great. I didn't feel like I was making extra special use of my last year at UNI, my last year in high school. I was losing myself. I didn't know who my friends were. I didn't know what they'd become and it boggled me. Why now? Wasn't I supposed to be the happiest person ever during my senior year? Shouldn't I have felt closest to the people I'd spent practically 5 years of my life with? No. So unexpected.

I'm sad that I don't talk to Granger as much as I did last year.
I'm sad that I've cried over lost friendships and over the fact that I have never had a best friend.
I'm sad that we have drifted. So sad.

I remember at the end of my junior year thinking, "Dang, I am so jealous of the seniors. They really know what they want in life. They have so much fun everyday, hanging out, chilling, relaxing. So confident, so cool." I thought my senior year would be exactly like that.

I mean, I know I just said that my senior year just wasn't as fun as I expected it to be. However, ultimately now, thinking back and trying to focus on the positive things, I realized:

I've met so many new people that I've grown so close to. And I'm so happy for that.
I've grown closer to people I've always known and farther from people I've always been close with.
I've become more comfortable in my own skin. Developed a real sense of personal style. Walk around more confident, not cocky.. just..comfortable.
I've participated in a lot. I've got to spend my year with a great group of people on ASB and helped make a difference at UNI.
I've spent more time with myself.
I realized that while giving people the benefit of the doubt too much, I was letting them hurt me.
I have become more accepting.
I've watched the office with Linny during 6th period and we only need 4 more episodes to be done with the 4th season!
I've rekindled my friendship with you and that makes me so happy.
I am more me.

"So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them." - The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I'm going to miss high school.

AHH!

DAHHHHH SO CLOSE!
