So Many Calories.
Woke up. Cooked up some really good pre-marinated beef from H-Mart for lunch.
Played around on the guitar.
Made my card today. It's more like a poster..
Today was National Cheesecake Day! Celebrated with some peeps! 50% off any cheesecake slice!
I got myself a White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle slice..
which was about 920 calories or something.
Took a quick trip home to eat dinner (because I didn't want to pay for food)
and then went out to meet up again.
Got to be stealthy at Felicia's house with Josh+Brian while Chris got gas for his car. It was really funny.

This morning, I went downstairs and said good morning to Ba Lich.
She was sitting at the dining table and she smiled, said hello, and opened her arms.
I walked over to her and we hugged.
Why is she so cool??

WOO NO WORK TOMORROW!

I went downstairs today and spoke to Ba Lich, my grandmother's older sister. I was about to leave for work but decided to take a few moments to just.. talk to her. She is absolutely wonderful. She is so lively and talkative, even at her old age. I sat there, with my arm over her shoulder and her arm around mine, and we talked and laughed.

I've been speaking Vietnamese much more these past .. 2 weeks. My family members apparently think that my Vietnamese is pretty good for not speaking that much usually. It feels good, to use Vietnamese again. I feel bad for having lost a lot of it, basically ever since my nanny retired from , well, nannying us after 6th grade. I hope I'll still have some left so I can teach my kids when I'm older.

Bought a new guitar today! Hennah and I had gone to the Guitar Center in Fountain Valley and were very disappointed by the selection/prices. Then, today, we went to the one in Lake Forest. So much more!!!!! We were ecstatic. Finally chose an Ibanez black spruce top acoustic/electric guitar. It was $200.. plus 17.50 tax... plus 20 warranty...shitttt. And I just got paid.. That disappeared quickly. I want to break in the strings. My fingers hurt.

Splat.
Work 11-5. I was whining the entire time with Tom, my boss. We made grunting noises of boredom and exhaustion. "UGHHHHH."
Ate dinner with the family + new extended ones that are staying here. This boy cousin that I've never met before (not part of my immediate family) is really awkward. He's like 20 something and he would just be staring at me when I would look up from my plate.
Went to Kim's and met new peeps.
Cha/Yogurtland with Kim. Good discussion. She spat in my face. It was a spray.
Got home. Walked upstairs. Turned to the right to say hi to my cousin (Vinh, not the awkward one from above). He was in his briefs. We stared at each other for a split second and then he slowly brought his arms up to cover himself. And then, I walked away laughing.

Yesterday, when I was driving during the evening, I heard "I Gotta Feelin" three times in a row on different stations. And last night WAS a good night.

Great, fun day!
Woke up and ran on my treadmill. Sweaty.
Ate lunch by myself.
Decided to buy some groceries and headed down to H-Mart. Bought lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries, and apples.
Then, as I was cutting up my salad, Kim texted me and she came over and we played an intense game of Speed. I love cards...
Afterwards, took a short, but lovely trip to Las Lomas park with Melissa. We went on the swings and rocked the horse. "ROCK ME, MELISSA, ROCK ME!"
Went by Jamba Juice to make Brian a Mango-a-go-go smoothie because I thought he wouldn't be able to eat dinner.
Came home and chris/brian/I waited for Kim to arrive with turkey for our omelette making.
Kim made wonderful omelettes. I cooked the steak. The boys played typing maniac.. -_-
Nice dinner. Couldn't decide what to do for the rest of the night so we did both things we wanted to do.
Kim's a LIYAHHHH! hahahhahaha jk . <3
Went lasertagging at Laser Quest. SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!! These little kids tried to be all sweet on us and we believed them, thinking they wanted to be our allies. THEN THEY STARTED SHOOTING US. Effers..
While we were exiting the complex, we made eye contact with this kid on his scooter on a ramp in a store. (that was complicated.) And he stared at us for about a full 10 seconds and then started rushing through the ramp (trying to show off) and did a really cool trick off the wall and then.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH. he did another trick and fell right on his face!!!!! like full body slam against the ground. and Chris/Brian/I darted forwards laughing, just so he could maintain some dignity (you know, not see us dying laughing at him).
Then, watched Harry Potter. I couldn't help but ask Melissa what was happening the entire movie because I haven't read it yet... I know, I'm horrible! I didn't want to watch it yet!!!! I loved when Harry was out of character and on, you know, luck potion. Favorite scene.
Questioned Brian about... well yes. And it was funny. Chicken nuggets all the way.

I was washing dishes after dinner and Kim was drying them. I asked her to "press the button," you know, the disposal thing. And she confidently and quickly said, "ohyeah." *turns off the faucet*. "WHAT?!?!?!?!?".... You had to be there.

Went to Gap and Trader Joes in Crystal Cove. I came home with some plain yogurt.
We made homemade chicken quesadillas + yogurt-mixed-with-fruit.
"Tanned" at the pool but instead ended up talking in the shade.
Melissa proceeded to leave for "dinner" at 4:30 PM. Fucker didn't eat until 8:30 PM.
(Don't think that I'm verbally abusive. It's our nickname for each other. Isn't that just so romantic?)
Dinner with my mommy.
Went to Zara at South Coast because my mom's ADDICTED.
I just finished writing a new song! It's coming along well, I think!
And I need to shower..

Family Bonding
I went to third street promenade with my mom today and we shopped around with my sister. We basically spent the majority of our shopping time at Zara. My mom bought so much stuff! I got two dresses and a jacket! One dress was $60 -> $20, the other $40 -> $15!!!! (Leah, wish you were here and I miss you! I enjoy reading random blog comments from you :]) We ate lunch at Wahoos, at which Mai-Lan updated us on her life. She's going to take up a new internship, working under one of the best surfers in the world? She's had soooo many internships and it makes me so envious of the life she's created for herself in LA. Tonight, she's going to a sneak preview of Harry Potter. Dangg...
Came home. Looked through our new clothing items with me mum. Ate dinner with me mum. Then, off to hang out!!!
My feet hurt.

Finally
Worked from 11-6 today without a break. It was busy the entire time. Horrible. And, we had to make a 250 smoothie order all at the same time. -_-
However, after work ended, I made a Berry Lime Sublime for Linny and headed over to Hoag Hospital down in Newport. That's her favorite smoothie. I walked into her room and she was just about to start breastfeeding. So, I stood behind the curtain for about 2 minutes until she realized the baby wasn't ready yet. So, I sat there with her and Jeremy for like 20 minutes. Met Linny's best friend. She told me how her pregnancy went and I briefly told her about my life.. and it's medocrity. I left her and Jeremy to dinner and then headed home.
Ben is absolutely adorable. He's got blue eyes! But, that's just temporary. He had a cone head. It's funny.. but Linny says it'll go away over time. She looks so cute with her new son. Makes me smile :).

So, I have an addiction to plain yogurt. I eat it every morning and night and for snacks. I cut up kiwis or toss in some grapes and add a tiny bit of sugar. Mmm Mmm Good. Good thing to get hooked on too :D!

Gum
Another good day! Dang, just can't get enough of these!
AH I just remembered!I had a crazy dream that I was leading a protest! And it was all because of some journal/diary thing I kept that was released to the public...
So, I was super super bored at 3 or so ? Btw, totally would have come to watch the movie Brittany but I was trying to save $10 on a movie ticket. hahah :P Otherwise, I would have come!!!!
Got to hang out with Kim and Melissa at Colonel Barber Park. It was another beautiful day and my feet hurt from taking so many jumping pictures. I love Melissa's side profile+head tilted up+ostrich pose and Kim's itching-of-her-armpits pose.
Afterwards, I came home to find that Vinh, my cousin, was on the side of the road on Baker St. because his car randomly broke down again. His car does this weird thing. It just turns off all of a sudden. No explaining why. He needs to stop using that thing because its a burden on the whole family. My mom, uncle, and I had to hop in the car and drive to where he was, call AAA, use my card, and wait for the towtruck. Totally not fun.
Finally got home. Patrick called asking to hang out. We decided on Flame Broiler for dinner! Hennah and Melissa came, too. It was so fun! I brought in my Jamba hat so I could get my 2o% off. We ate dinner and played with Patrick's cool spiffy new camera. Lots of middle fingers were exchanged throughout the meal. Lovely :) After I finished eating, I ran to Jamba and made us chocolate covered strawberries (with more soymilk than chocolate base. Much more delicious!) Hennah left us. I got the whole Harry Potter series from her. I shall try to read up to the movie that's coming out in a couple weeks. Melissa, Patrick, and I stayed till 10:30! Talking up a storm. First in Flame Broiler until a random flying beetle chased us out of our seats. Then, sat outside and talked about farting and Melissa did the most hilarious gum thing that I'll never forget/ never stop laughing about. There was also this dog, Scout, that Melissa couldn't help but die over. We decided to go to Ralph's just so she could walk by the dog and pet it. However, the dog was being really protective and wouldn't let her. Lawls.

Food baby
My fortune, that I think should happen.
My uncle! He's leaving on Sunday to go to Stanford and take video classes there.
We just finished eating at Bamboo Bistro, a restaurant in CDM owned by a family that my mom knows very well through work. They're really good. You should all try it sometime.
Earlier, I basically spent the whole day at South Coast and then a half an hour at the Lab. There was so much on sale in all the stores but I ended up buying a $10 short sleeve cardigan that has a bleached line stain down one side.. but I got it half off because it was defected. :D
Vicki tried to help me find some sunglasses. Which I found. Then put back. Then wanted again. Went looking for it on the rack. And it disappeared. Sad.
It's okay. That means I saved some money.
I need to stop spending!!!!
